A newly renovated basketball court in Randallstown has been dedicated to Angel Reese, the star forward who led LSU to its first national championship with a win over Iowa. Reese, a native of Randallstown, has made headlines with her extraordinary performances and achievements in the NCAA Women's Tournament.

Reese's connection to her hometown remains strong despite her success at LSU. "I go to LSU, but Baltimore, Randallstown, is always home for me," she said.

Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski and other local and state leaders gathered with Reese at the Scotts Branch Recreation Activity Center to officially unveil the newly-renovated basketball court, now named "Angel Reese Court."

Reese's achievements on the basketball court are remarkable. She was the star player of LSU's National Championship team and was named the NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player. Additionally, she earned the distinction of being a unanimous First-Team All-American after averaging 23 points and 15 rebounds per game for the Tigers following her transfer from Maryland.

While Reese's success at LSU is impressive, the dedication of this newly-renovated basketball court in her hometown highlights her status as a hometown hero. Reese expressed her gratitude, saying, "I just want to thank everybody for coming and to give hope to kids in the crowd that one day this can be you."

The impact of Reese's accomplishments is already being felt by the children of Baltimore. In addition to the court dedication, Reese will make another public appearance in the Baltimore area. DTLR hosted a meet and greet with Reese at the Northwood shopping center to celebrate their new partnership with the lifestyle retailer. Attendees had the opportunity to meet Reese and purchase "Bayou Barbie" t-shirts. The proceeds from the t-shirt sales will support Reese's foundation, which aims to empower women's basketball at her local alma mater, St. Francis High School.

Angel Reese's journey from Randallstown to LSU has not only brought glory to her name but has also inspired young athletes in Baltimore. Her dedication to her roots and her commitment to giving back make her a true hometown hero.
