Aneesah Morrow showcased an impressive performance with 18 points, 20 rebounds, two blocks, and a steal, leading No. 9 LSU to a commanding 106-66 victory over Florida on Sunday. Hailey Van Lith and Mikaylah Williams contributed 21 points each, while Angel Reese added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers (19-4, 6-3 SEC). The team quickly secured a double-digit lead in the first quarter and extended it to a 45-point advantage in the second half.
The resounding victory served as a rebound for LSU after facing a two-game skid, including a surprising road loss to unranked Mississippi State and a home defeat to No. 1 South Carolina on January 25.
Flau’Jae Johnson also chipped in with 10 points, ensuring that all five starters reached double digits. Morrow's scoring prowess was evident throughout the offensive end, combining powerful play in the paint with successful 3-pointers.
Aliyah Matharu led Florida (11-9, 2-6) with 16 points and five steals, while Leilani Correa added 13 points.
Despite an initial 6-2 lead by Florida, LSU quickly took control with a 10-point surge in just under two minutes, part of a larger 14-point run. The momentum included transition jumpers from Williams, as well as a right-wing 3-pointer from Johnson.
Williams, Van Lith, and Reese showcased their scoring abilities, with Van Lith hitting midrange jumpers off screens and Reese contributing both in the paint and at the foul line. The comprehensive team effort led to a decisive victory, helping LSU rediscover its dominant form on the court.
