March 06, 2024

Angel Reese

Reese, who is concurrently a part of both the All-SEC First Team and SEC All-Defensive team, has been demonstrating an outstanding performance this year. This marks her second consecutive year on the All-SEC First Team, further sealing her reputation as a formidable player. Angel leads the team and the SEC with an impressive average of 19.1 points per game and 13.0 rebounds per game. This achievement makes Reese the second player to ever lead the conference in both categories for multiple seasons.

Beyond this, Reese has recorded her 20th double-double performance this season and has accomplished 54 double-doubles during her tenure at LSU. Last season, she broke the LSU record previously held by Sylvia Fowles for most consecutive double-doubles by starting the season with an incredible 23. This feat not only set a new LSU record but also secured her an SEC record.
