Angel Reese, the LSU star, has added the Final Four Most Outstanding Player award to her collection of records and a championship ring. In the national championship game against Iowa, the sophomore forward secured yet another double-double, tallying 15 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals, setting an NCAA record of 34 double-doubles in a season.

Across six games in the tournament, Reese maintained record-breaking averages, netting  21.3 points and 15.2 rebounds per game. Reese, who transferred to LSU from Maryland in the last offseason, has been the team's top contributor, both in production and personality.

Before the championship game, Reese was already averaging 23.3 points and 15.6 rebounds per game, which led to her being named a unanimous first-team All-American and SEC first-team All-Defensive honoree. Her impact in the game was undeniable, and she even engaged in some well-placed trash talk towards National Player of the Year Caitlin Clark in the final minutes of the championship game against Iowa.

Angel Reese’s play also earned her a place on the NCAA's all-tournament team, along with two of her LSU teammates, Alexis Morris and Jasmine Carson.
